i was just in a message board at www.relevantmagazine.com (which is linked by ryan) and ran across this quote by someone. the tile of the post was: Is God that merciful and good? and took on the form of a discussion on why God allows His children to suffer. it was really cool, if you have the time, i would definitely read through all the posts on that particular one - lot's of straight up honest open-hearted discussion surrounded by the love of Jesus.
"I once used the following to help someone.... stand with you back against a wall and look across the room. Choose a point to walk to and start walking. When you get to where you had chosen, stop and consider whether at any moment you thought about where you were coming from (what was behind you). More than likely you did not. Now then, practice walking with God in the same way each day, a little at a time. There is a good chance that you will eventually walk an entire day with the Lord without once looking back. An entire day of just looking at Jesus before you. What an overcoming day this will be." Jay- from the relevant magazine forums.
pretty cool huh?
