Ok, I needed a little break from posting and whatnot, so sorry for not answering. It’s good to know I’m not alone. Jesus has definitely overcome the world and definitely overcomes my frustrations when I ask Him to. I just have to remember to ask. A thought I had on Romans 8:20-21 (thanks Emily). Are we the creation "subjected to frustration” before we come to a saving knowledge of Christ? And the hope; is it a hope that we will respond by accepting Him in all His power and therefore be liberated from the frustration of decay(sin) into the freedom that is being a child of God? ‘cause that’s the way I read it today.
My frustration stemmed from my stupidity. Simply put, I slipped up and didn’t stick close to Him in some important matters and got frustrated about some things. In other words I grew anxious about things totally not in my control and unworthy of the time and emotional stress involved. Sound familiar to anyone? The fix was pretty simple. I just had to admit my mistake and ask for help. I gave over my attempt at controlling things. I put them in His hands. Instant relief. Funny how that works. He restored the joy I had let sink diminished, in a couple of ways.
and one other thought for those of you who actually took the time to read this entire post.....
"my hair feels funny, i wonder if that's because i slept on it."
