Short Shots:

1. I'm gonna miss David Baca more than I know. Close friend, Confidant, and Cool Cat. This guy simply helps me to be a better person (and that's a tough job). I'm sure I'll write more on this when it becomes more of a reality. Mr. Baca leaves for Albuquerque on Monday. Lucky Dog.

2. My new internet craze. Live shows. And it's legal.

3. Fire Academy starts on Tuesday. And signals the demise of my summer. Bittersweet isn't it.

4. Inside Out by Dr. Larry Crab. This book is simply breaking me down. And that is a good thing. Of course, I am sure God has something to do with that as well.

5. The Dallas Cowboys scrimmage the Houston Texans Saturday night. Yes, I am a fan of the Cowboys even when they don't win Super Bowls.
