So I finished "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson this morning. It's funny in a twisted and warped way. The ridiculousness of the situations the two main characters find themselves in is insane....and so were they. But it was really funny at times too.
I have also read through a good portion of "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger today. Looks like it is a book reading day for me. I usually try and read something everyday, but have rarely, of late, been able to read more than 30 or 40 pages at a time. I usually just lose interest and start reading about fantasy football stuff on the web instead. But since I have just about given up on my teams, I have to fill the time with something else. Could be worse I guess.
It seems that I have succumbed to the frenzy known as the McDonald's Monopoly game which Cody mentioned of late on his blog. I guess if you have to eat somewhere, you might as well take a chance on winning something. It's kind of fun really. Although I am still currently a loser.
Tech plays on TV tomorrow but I will be in class. I haven't seen a game yet. It doesn't really bother me that much, but I would still like to see atleast one game this year. Maybe next time.
Izzie and Izzle (ultimate frisbee team) plays today at 6:15 if anyone is interested. So far this season, they are perfect in the win - loss column. Something like 6-0 or 7-0, I forget which. I think playoffs start today, but I could be completely wrong.
Nickel Creek. It's in the works. That is all I have to say about that.
Bela Fleck. Not gonna happen...this time.
The Angelus and The Swords Project....perhaps. Not for sure yet.
and last but not least....I'm still trying to get to know the imaginary hot girlfriend Robyn claimed I had. What a nice dream that is. Have a good weekend all.
