I am only posting today because I feel that a post entitled Today should not be used for more than one day, especially since that day was yesterday and yesterday is definitely not today. I don't have much, if anything of interest to post about, but I will try and scrounge something up for you guys.

I worked my first real shift at Barnes and Noble last night. It was fine. I worked a cash register for 4 hours. About the only interesting part is the training I received on it before I started ringing up customers. The training lasted all of about 2 seconds. That is the time it took him to throw in his password to allow me access to the functions of the computer and then the next person in line stepped up and my manager stepped away. I'll admit it was a bit rough there for a while, seeing as how I had no idea how to ring up totals and all. But after 20 minutes of fumbling in the metaphorical dark, I was doing alright.

I talked to an old high school friend during the break. He was in a Hip-Hop group as a DJ with another old friend of mine who was not in town. The group, which was together until October, was called The Liquid Stereo Project. I hear that they had an interesting following and am supposed to procure a copy of their album as soon as I email my friend my address. He also told me that they had played a show with Explosions in the Sky, which definitely piqued my interest. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Damien Rice puts on a really good show. The show sounds a bit different from the album, which is a good thing. It has more of an edge, but remains beautiful. I was impressed. I would say more but I am tired of typing already.

Have a good day.
