this is a new post obvious guy says.
too many books, not enough time.
too many thoughts, not enough mind.
not much to say, too much to pray.
school starts again tomorrow. not really looking forward to it right now. but tomorrow it is. i found a cool site with lots of links to bootleg songs. i like it, if not enthused. i like coffee now. scary.
thinking about a degree in classics. guy at work has a masters and has been talking to me about it. don't know if it is just a thought or something i really want to do yet. it will have to wait until the next certificate due up to the plate is gained no matter what anyway. but a knowledge of latin and greek would be great for oh so many reasons.
thinking about a degree in english. not sure about that yet either. science intrigues me, but i don't think my mind is fit for it. not very logical and all that. heart leads more than the mind.
church is cool. even if i don't visit the building all that much. i see its' people very often and i like it. i plan on spending more time in it - not the building. don't read that as me against the building. i'm not.
i read 190 pages of a 198 page book filled with philosophical debate only to read a statement saying that philosophy is not about truth. my defiance of that idea and against the author was to close the book and return it. even though it is hard to leave the last eight pages unread.
i don't know how well this two part-time job thing is working out. currently considering finding a full-time job again. we'll see.
people at b&n intrigue me. currently i know of people with a masters in classics, a harvard graduate that has been inducted into the texas society of archaeology, a man who is a "brilliant" physicist without the credentials, a person who does nothing at home but write in her journal and refuse to read fiction, a guy who does nothing but play video games, a guy engaged to a girl who lives in columbia(the country) with whom he has only spent 3 weeks worth of actual "face time," a girl who got married on halloween night, and a woman who i think could tell you how many books over on a shelf a particular book is if you asked. intriguing indeed.
i guess that is good for now.
