So.

Graduation was last night. I want to thank those of you who came out. Thank you. I guess the ceremony was cooler than I thought it was going to be. I think the bagpipes played a large and determining role in that. That guy was awesome. He even had a sword with his kilt.

My Dad flew in for the festivities and I had a good time hanging out with him. Mom couldn't make it as she already had a trip to Scotland and London planned before the ceremony was to be accounted for. My Father and I stayed in a hotel last night here in the Hub. The only room available had but one queen sized bed for us to share. I haven't shared a bed with my Dad in years. It was funny to me that even now, as I outweigh the man, I still have a reverential fear of disturbing his sleep by moving too much or taking too much of the cover. Like he would hold back my allowance or something if I jostled him in the midst of a healthy and relaxing rest. I don't know what it was, but it was disturbingly funny to me.

It is also interesting to note how natural it seemed for him to just turn on the light this morning when he was ready to get up. Blink! the light 1 foot away from face is on and the clock reads 6:45am. Sweet. I wasn't mad. It was as if my mind and body had both conspired against me to admit that this was my Father and when He says to get up, it is time to get up. So get up I did. Weird.
